     The MPU-6050 is a high-performance Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensor module, ideal for all your projects that require motion detection and orientation measurement. With an on-board 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis accelerometer, it provides a total of 6 axes (6 DOF) of precise motion data. The built-in Digital Motion Processor processes the sensor data and runs MotionFusion algorithms to perform angular position calculations on the sensor itself. This significantly reduces the processing load on the main microcontroller.

     This sensor is a fundamental component for applications requiring motion tracking, balance control and stabilization. The module comes on a GY-521 board that provides ease of use and can be easily integrated with microcontrollers. Basic communication is done over i2c; acceleration, angular velocity and temperature data can be read.
