No documentation is included with the product. No additional software support will be provided.
ATTENTION: Newly arrived boards come unprogrammed, so the BOOT button must be held down while plugging in the USB cable on the first connection. In this case the product starts operating in programming mode.
The ESP32-H2 Mini Development Board has a processor running at 32-bit and 96MHz. You can use it in many wireless communication applications such as Bluetooth 5.3, Zigbee 3.0, Thread, Matter, HomeKit, Mqtt and similar. It can be programmed over the Type C usb port. It is powered over the Usb port. It can operate with an external 5V supply. The ESP32-H2 mini development board is suitable for applications using mesh networks such as remote monitoring, smart home automation, industry etc.
The RISC-V architecture is open source, so the innovation, customization and hardware development process is faster. At the same time it focuses on low energy consumption. Thanks to the low power RISC-V processor, it offers more flexibility in battery powered applications. It provides lower power consumption. Thus battery life can be optimized, smaller batteries can be used and projects can be made mini.
It has 19 digital input output pins. There are reset and boot buttons and 1 user led on the board. There are empty header slots on the board edges for connection. In addition, these pads have a design that can be soldered from the board edge onto a lower board. By creating a low height on the lower board, you can make projects that fit into very small enclosures.
The ESP32-H2 supports the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) libraries that come with the ESP32 support package added to the Arduino IDE. Bluetooth communication can be established with libraries such as BLEDevice, BLEUtils. With this module beacon applications can be developed or a connection can be made with BLE supported devices such as phones, smart wristbands.
The ESP32-H2 is developed for smart device applications and supports the IEEE 802.15.4-2015 standard. This shows its compatibility with the newest mesh communication protocols. Whether Thread, Zigbee 3.0 or Matter, this small but powerful module will be enough for you. Thanks to the mesh connection compatible with the Thread, Zigbee 3.0 and Matter standards, the ESP32-H2 board offers a wide possibility in wireless connection between devices. It can work point to point or with more complex network structures. In addition, it supports remote software update. This makes it a perfect choice for IoT projects from the simplest to the most complex
ESP32-H2 Programming
The ESP32-H2 development board has rich programming support. It can be programmed with Arduino IDE (C/C++), MicroPython, CircuitPython, LUA and other high level programming languages. You can download the Arduino IDE free of charge from the official Arduino site. Advanced programming knowledge is not needed to start. In addition, you can also use IDEs such as Thonny to program the module with MicroPython or CircuitPython.
When you plug it into the pc, 1 com port and 1 jtag hardware appear automatically in the system. On the first connection the BOOT button must be held down while plugging in the USB cable. In this case the product starts operating in programming mode.
